Help with a rice recipe???????????/?

alrite. i have a fried rice recipe, and it says i need these ingrediants and cooked rice. i have an electric wok, but ive never used it before and i dont know how to cook rice in it. kan someone tell me a site or jus tell me how much rice and how much water i need. pleasseee id apreciate it alot.

1) You can't cook rice in an electric wok.

2) To make Fried Rice, the rice must be cooked and then chilled. Using hot rice will result in a gooey gloppy mess.



Get out a small saucepan with a lid and let's cook some rice first. Once the rice is done, put it in the refrigerator to cool down.



Combine one cup rice and two cups of water in a saucepot and bring to a boil. Clap a lid on it and turn the heat down to Low. If you鈥檙e using a gas stove, that a little wispy flame. If you鈥檙e using an electric stove, that like 2 clicks from Off. Here the hardest part: resist the urge to lift the lid for 15 minutes. Taste a forkful; it should be tender and there should be a wee bit of water remaining in the bottom of the pot. Replace the lid and continue cooking for another 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and allow the rice to sit on the burner until ready to serve.




Remember, always 2-1....2 cups water 1 cup rice! :)
